Rangi Chase and Harrison Hansen are on their way to Leigh, according to owner Derek Beaumont.
After already confirming the acquisitions of Salford duo Cory Paterson and Reni Maitua, Beaumont told BBC Radio Manchester “I’d like to announce that Rene Maitua adds to Cory Paterson, as does Rangi Chase and Harrison Hansen.”
Chase is currently suspended at his current club, Salford Red Devils, pending an internal investigation, whilst Red Devils captain Hansen has been released from his contract.
After starting the season superbly and cruising into the Qualifiers, Leigh managed to win just one of their seven games in the middle eights and finished bottom following their 50-6 defeat to Widnes yesterday.
However, the club is keen to make up for that disappointment next year, with the alleged additions of Chase or Hansen a sign of intent.
“Leigh Centurions will not lie down we’re are coming strong next year, simple as that,” said Beaumont.
