Chester won’t lose sleep over Costigan exit

Hull Kingston Rovers coach Chris Chester says he is disappointed by the news Neville Costigan has resigned from his contract, but insists he will not lose sleep over it.

The Papua New Guinea international decided to end his Super League career after returning home after the conclusion of the 2014 campaign.

“I’m really disappointed with Neville’s decision,” Chester told the Hull Daily Mail.

“Especially coming so late in the off-season.

“It came as a big shock to me considering I only spoke to him the previous week about the forthcoming season.

“I thought he played really well for us last season, but we now have to move on.

“I certainly won’t be having any sleepless nights and I’m not fazed by it.

“It has made things a bit harder, but we knew it would be a challenge and it’s not put me off in the slightest.

“We will look to find a like for like replacement for Neville, but we won’t be rushed into anything.”
