Koukash “disappointed” by season ticket sales

Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash has hit out at a lack of season ticket sales ahead of next season.

The Red Devils have made yet more marquee signings ahead of 2015, with Michael Dobson and Ben Jones-Bishop set to join the likes of Kevin Locke, Gareth Hock, Rangi Chase and Adrian Morley at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Despite the abundance of high profile names at the club, less than a thousand season tickets have been sold.

“I find it disappointing that fewer than 1,000 season tickets have been sold so far when I look at the squad I have brought together for 2015,” Koukash said on Twitter.

“Fewer than five people in every 1000 in Salford have bought into the club, what does that tell me? Is it the stadium? Rugby League? Salford?”
