St Helens head coach Keiron Cunningham shifted his side’s focus to next week’s derby with Wigan after toppling Wigan.
Saints took a big step towards a top four spot following a 39-16 victory over fifth-placed Catalans.
But after registering a seventh straight win, Cunningham was quick to discuss next week’s clash with the Warriors.
“I was expecting some kind of lull after tough away wins at Wigan and Warrington and we tried to overplay a bit in the first half.
“But we put them to the sword in the second half and the boys are hungry to go again with a derby at Wigan.
“That’s what momentum does for you. We’ve had some tough times this season but that has bonded us together.”
Cunningham saved praise for winger Adam Swift, who scored four tries in the victory.
“That’s what Adam gets paid to do, score tries.
“But both he and Jack Owens were phenomenal as was Jonny Lomax at full-back.
“He saved three or four tries with his tackling and that makes me very happy.
“Young Morgan Knowles had a great game too but it looks like Mark Percival could be out with a leg injury.”
