THE National Conference League is reverting to a Saturday-evening slot for the end-of-season presentation and awards bash.
For the last two years, the amateur game’s flagship competition has held its big event on the lunchtime of the Betfred Super League Grand Final, at Lancashire Cricket Club – giving players, coaches and administrators the chance to stroll down afterwards from one iconic Old Trafford venue to another.
Next month, however, clubs will be asked to head to the Cedar Court, Huddersfield, as in previous years, with a date set of Saturday, October 18.
In addition to championship trophy presentations throughout the four divisions, player of the season awards will be made, coaches of the year and the referee of the year will be announced and such as fair play and social-media trophies will be handed out.
