NORTH WALES CRUSADERS have brought loose-forward Dom Horn back into the professional game, with coach Sean Long saying: “He adds quality and depth to the ranks.”
The 31-year-old has represented Hemel Stags, Keighley, Swinton and Hunslet and is fresh from helping Great Britain Teachers win the President’s Cup for the first time.
That team, also including Crusaders winger Lewis Holgate, beat holders England Universities 34-10 at Lock Lane, Castleford and UK Armed Forces 42-12 at Goole to top the triangular table.
“I am absolutely delighted to finally get Dom’s signature over the line,” said Long, in charge since the club returned to the Championship under new ownership following the insolvency of the previous company.
“He is a player we have been monitoring closely and were actually looking to bring into the squad much earlier this year, so it’s fantastic to finally have him.
“Dom brings experience and his pedigree is exactly what we need. On the field, he is an incredibly tough, industrious player with a high workrate and a real physical presence.”
Horn said: “Sean and all the staff here are wanting to take the club in the right direction again and I’m happy to be part of that process.”
