Doncaster RLFC have signed former Leeds Rhinos youngster Ben Frankland on a one-year deal.
A product of Oulton Raiders and Hunslet Warriors, the 19-year-old spent a number of years in the Rhinos academy before being released at the end of last season.
“Ben offers a great deal of flexibility,” said Doncaster head coach Gary Thornton.
“He can play primarily at hooker, but at Leeds he has also played in the back-row and at loose forward.
“Ben is another player of good pedigree and hopefully we can help him reach his potential at Doncaster.
“He adds more strength and depth to the squad which is what I have been trying to create here and hopefully he can put pressure on Kyle Kesik and Daniel Hirst.”
