Duo of Super League stars suspended

Two Super League stars have received suspensions from tonight’s (Tuesday) disciplinary hearing at the RFL, after incidents in last Saturday’s Catalan Dragons v St Helens clash.

Both Eloi Pelissier and Alex Walmsley have picked up one match bans after being hit with the same charge – a Grade B striking offence. That means they are to miss their side’s next game, with Walmsley absent for the Saints’ huge clash against Castleford Tigers.

Similarly, Pelissier will miss the Dragons’ game against Hull FC in the South of France – a game that has huge ramifications in the race for the top eight in 2014.

Saints hooker James Roby was also fined £300 by the independent tribunal, after being found guilty of a Grade B dangerous contact charge.
