ENGLAND Rugby League has appointed strength and fitness guru Carl Jennings as the Performance Systems Manager for the England team heading towards the Rugby League World Cup in Australia this October.
Jennings will work alongside England coach Brian McDermott to ensure that the players who are selected in the England squad will be able to perform at their best as the tournament unfolds.
Jennings, 62, has wide experience with a range of clubs and national organisations, including Penrith, New Zealand Warriors, Canterbury Crusaders in rugby union.
He was previously the Great Britain strength and conditioning coach between October 2004 and November 2006, while his most recent experience was as the National Athletic Performance Director with American Football Australia, which he held between April 2024 and February 2026.
