Ex-Super League winger Greg Eden joins North Wales Crusaders

FORMER Super League winger Greg Eden has found a new home in the Championship with North Wales Crusaders.

The 35-year-old most recently plied his trade for Hunslet, scoring four tries in 12 appearances, but will now make the move to Wales to join the League One champions.

Eden’s try-scoring exploits have been well-documented throughout his career, with the winger registering 162 tries in 238 appearances.

The 35-year-old is most known for his 111 tries in 119 appearances for his hometown club Castleford Tigers.

On joining the Crusaders, Eden said: “I am excited for the new challenge with a bunch of blokes that had a great year last year.

“We want to build on that with the newly formed league and it will be great to link back up with Dean (Muir, Crusaders’ head coach who was previously Hunslet boss) after working along side him last year.”

Muir himself said: “I’m looking forward to working with Greg again. His experience will really help some of our younger boys out. He is a perfect fit for our group.

“He has the ability to play in a variety of positions and gives us options across the back line. He is a natural try scorer and gives us a real threat.”
