  1. Salford are far and away the best team I've seen this year, they are on form, and have momentum and are really flying. Even without Croft, they systemically dismantled a side that had finished 3rd (albeit not playing well) but a side that had been ridiculously hard to dismantle. I hope Salford will win it and go on and win the SKY cup.
  2. He could have sent 10 Salford players off for a few minutes to give us a chance, but other than that, I agree
  3. He looks older than Stanley Matthews did when he finally retired
  4. I have absolutely no idea which persons you're referring to, would you care to enlighten those not in the know?
  5. I've been to Perpignan 12 times since 2006 and I love the colour, passion and atmosphere at Gilbert Brutus. But I've never ever felt threatened or fearful of any violence by dragons fans. They've always been very hospitable and friendly with us Giants that travel over there.
  6. Salford were superb today, on and off the field You are a joy to watch when you click, in fact I'd say Salford are easily the best team I've seen this season, I really hope you go on and win thing now As for Huddersfield, I said weeks ago we were done, we finished 3rd but scraped wins when not playing well, out of the 6 teams in the play offs, we were the weakest in terms of form and it showed today, we were terrible, in every aspect of the game, we were outclassed, outenthsed, out everything by a rampant Salford who I honestly believe can be crowned champions in a couple of weeks and will be thoroughly deserved. As for us, as Ken Davy said after that game, and as he says nearly every year, a step too far, maybe next year? I'm proud of what Huddersfield Giants and Ian Watson has done this season but sadly we were found out in the end but whoever thought Huddersfield would finish 3rd and almost win the cup would have been locked up in February. Finally, echo what Daz said, Salford's support was awesome but where the heck are they when SRD are at home? Good luck Salford, go and win it
  7. You( and a lot of other Salford fans) need to let go of your obsession with Huddersfield and enjoy what Salford give you, seriously. You were fckin superb today, try and enjoy that
  8. I stood in many of these so called corrugated death traps over the years and I'm still alive. Would you like to define "death trap"? Hang on, actually, don't
  9. So do Huddersfield, we just have to put in the hard (boring) stuff first
  10. I'm loathe to criticise refs and I think Child - no s- has been one of the better ones, but I thought tonight he let the players dictate how the game went and wasn't strong enough to deal with the frustration and niggle from both sides. Another thing that irks me though is a referee calling players "mate" I don't like it at all.
  11. I didn't see that. But it's unacceptable, we all get passionate at times but you have to control it. Anyway, enough about Leeds fans
  12. Rubbish, we don't have fans remember. Enjoy your win, it'll be worth it
  13. It doesn't bore me, I enjoy watching Watson's team work harder than the opposition and grind them down. Of course we never score tries to win games do we let alone good tries. Go back to sleep
  14. How did Huddersfield throw a game that they won in extra time? We've been 3rd for about 6 weeks as well
  15. Horrible game played by 2 horrible teams with some absolute grubs between them, and the grubs won. Leeds deserved it but as others have said, they knew which buttons to press to cause maximum damage to Catalans ill discipline, that's not to say Leeds weren't I'll disciplined they just didn't get caught as much. I hope the Leeds fans whining about referee's having it in for them will stop now. Too much Pißing about and playacting, not enough quality, exciting rugby league on show. Hopefully tomorrow's game is everything tonight wasn't, an exciting, action packed home win
  16. Watson was also tempted by the good academy system and the good young players in our squad that have formed the basis of our squad, something he wouldn't have had at Salford Watson had to rebuild after Stone and Woolford, but had to manoeuvre players in and out,. Yates was the first player he wanted and he wanted him here as his skipper, that's a personal and professional trust and compliment to Luke Yates, he was hardly gonna say no was he? I'm sure you or others could tell us how much Yates left Salford for? If money wasn't an issue for Huddersfield then why have we put so much into our youth instead of doing what Salford previously, Warrington and Leigh have done, which is to try and buy our success?
  17. He should be banned from entering France or the UK, terrible signing!
  18. Huddersfield's recruitment is almost the same as what Salford have done though, and it was Salford's choice not to invest in their youth, you can't say that Huddersfield have a better system because we have more money, we made the decision 10 years or so ago to try and save ourselves money by utilising our youth which we have, Salford chose to spend their money on their first team squad instead. I'm still not sure what Huddersfield have got at their disposal that Salford or any club haven't? Pryce, Senior, Senior, Cudjoe, McGillivary, Lawrence, Wardle, English, Hewitt, and Mason are all direct products from our academy, Russell (Wigan) Wilson (Bradford) were signed as 2nd year academy players and have also come through our system since they were 16/17 and have all been an integral part of our side under Watson. Chris Hill was deemed surplus to requirements at Warrington, Theo Fages had fallen down the pecking order at St Helens, Owen Trout was signed as part of the Kruise Leeming deal and has blossomed into a fine forward, Josh Jones, Luke Yates and Chris McQueen are good, honest, hard working forwards who seem to flourish under Watto, Danny Levi was a bit of a gamble who has paid off The only signing that stood out for us this year is probably Leutele, but he's leaving. I'm not sure how Salford or anyone else couldn't have built a side like that too?
