Featherstone Rovers 2024 Squad

The club spelling things correctly on social media. I'm looking forward to seeing "Gadwn Springer" though. -
2024 thread on other Championship teams

I'm amazed Wakefield have spent £1.3m. Their squad is the best in the championship but I agree that reflects the lack of talent in the league. I do think it'll be a better competition than the last few years however. The Wakefield squad isn't a patch on the Leigh squad that won the championship to say the costs are similar. -

Probably spot on I'd say. It just struck me as an odd thing to say. -

What is interesting is we've gone from apparently being "self sufficient" according to Vickers to having to release pretty much the entire squad to save money. So either they were lying then or lying now -

Rather give a young lad from a local amateur side a game than Kyle Trout to be honest. -

Hankinson was class, shame he's gone. The Longstaff signing made to look even more bizarre now. Paid a fee for him and he still couldn't get a game. -

Some really interesting names coming up here. Amazingly how quickly some get forgotten, or at least how quickly I forget them. Carey never crossed my mind. Chisholm was rapid but not sure he could actually play rugby. Hodson does not register in my mind at all. -

Taylor was a disappointment for me. I expect him to look a cut above the rest of the squad, a real ball handling, line breaking forward, but whether due to coaching or ability, became just another plodder. -
