    Top marks, Mr Miklauskas.

    Dilemma

It's only a guess, but I think as Myles went to put the ball down, Wallace's foot contacted the ball, probably inadvertently but it was really strange as it certainly wasn't grounded properly. Deffo touch judge intervention. We'll take it!

    Dilemma

Self admitted giddiness, Fevrover. I love rugby league and certainly like to think I can appreciate decent rugby from the opposition. Lets face it, not too many fancied us for a win today. Thanks for listening.
  4. It's all interesting stuff, the old rumour mill, but nothing is certain until signings and retentions are announced.
  5. Yeah, have to agree. I just think the gap between us and them is too much. Mind, if we can win all four... I think we'll finish 7th above Widnes and Fax..
  6. I think that's a cracking shout, John. And Liv Gale.

  8. If you talk to anyone in the know, it's very apparent that we have a squad of players who care. I think there was a worry that with Hendo inheriting Fordy's squad that some of the players might not make the transition and apply themselves and that has very much not been the case and the coaching staff deserve mountains of credit for that as well as the lads themselves. We might not make the playoffs but the lads are trying like hell to get us there, despite the injury hoodoo.
  9. There is no match commissioner these days below Super League, Roger. Cost saving measure. Only the RFL timekeeper, who usually is utilised as MC for Super League ie Dave Milburn, Gerry Kershaw, Tony Randerson. It may be they have a 'report facility'. TBH was chatting to Gareth Hewer, ex ref, a while ago and he does referee assessments for the Cumbrian club games, I think. I can never think of the title match commissioner without recalling the game at the old Huntington Stadium when he had fielded a complaint about holes in the pitch (shot putt, rabbit, fox, The Great Escape cast, believe what you will) and, as he was wandering around looking for them, groundsman Col Molloy was hastily scuttling around with a shovel and a bucket of soil filling them in! It's a better story if you believe that Colin had the soil down his trouser legs a la Steve McQueen and company and was tamping it down with his feet!
  10. Dont even joke about it, John.
  11. I assume nothing came of our on-report v Eagles? Looked like Sheffield were complaning of use of knees in the tackle...?
  12. Are we paying his board and lodgings?
  13. You need one. At least he is due one decent performance this season!
  14. Full commentary of Valks v St Helens BBC Radio York from 11am an all frequencies Saturday. COYV.
  15. Not to take anything away from two fabulous wins, I have a theory about both Fax and the Eagles, that they start at 100mph, chuck the ball about all over in the first 40 and are knackered after the break! The Eagles did the same against Thunder in the Bash and almost threw the game away. Great battle between the two Jesses. S-F came off best at the Legacy Park but Mr Dee won the day today. Two really scratchy refereeing displays today. The young kid allowed the Rhinos to slow down the PTB all day and it made for a really scrappy game overall. So many poor calls in the Knights game, the penalty for a strip on Cory Aston was absolutely laughable! He simply let go of the ball in the hope of getting a pen after being driven back 20 metres. Sadly Mr Vella took it hook, line and sinker.
  16. Sickness virus during the week - couldn't train.
  17. Yes, I too noticed the Antrobus fan club were back in good numbers yesterday.
  18. Hmm! Tubby wasn't wrong, it seems....
  19. I do understand the hurt that some fans take out of a defeat, particularly if they have travelled and paid money to watch a heavy defeat, but I've seen some comments that can't be deemed to be fair Made a few random notes relistening to the first half on Friday. We gave a penalty away with seconds and were immediately under pressure. The Eagles came out very fast and were prepared to put the ball through hands and were incisive in their running. We had a shocking number of errors, both handing and penalties conceded in that first half which more than likely contributed to the two tries that killed us just ahead of the break. We spent almost all of that first half under the cosh after a five day turnaround. I am told that a Knights player I won't name, allegedly, used an elbow in a tackle in the first half, which only served to wind up players like Sene-Lafao to bigger efforts. If you were there, you will guess who it was given the 'attention' the Eagles paid him thereafter! We were slow and pedestrian moving the ball and lacked both enterprise and intensity compared to the Eagles, who had 17 players who were right up to it. I had a chat to Tubby immediately prior to my Hendo post-match interview and he said that he wouldn't want to be in Hendo's shoes at the moment given the injury/player situation. I think some of our players would give anything for the two week break I've got next...... On another subject, apologies for the ever-changing qualities of the broadcast on Friday. We were relying on the stadium internet and, once the stand filled up, it wasn't up to it. To add insult to injury I locked myself out of my car and Sparky got locked into the other car park!
  20. Spot on, Gav. I was 18th man in Toulouse . Just got the nod ahead of Pete Martini and Andy Gomersall due to my searing pace!
