  1. Any guesses at an identity? Hmm, I wonder?
  2. Well, I've just scraped myself off the ceiling. What an afternoon! What a game! I said beforehand that this game would eclipse all the weekend's other games including Super Duper League and I wasn't wrong. It was thunderous, pulsating, relentless, fascinating in its intensity. The Bulls contributed fully to a fabulous game and their fans were fantastic and fully contributed to a superb atmosphere. The Knights, after a sticky start, were immense, particularly in defence with some seismic collisions including another Kee Hudson special on Emmanuel Waine. Liam's try was the turning point with a nod to the drive out of defence by Toa Mata'afa, though Waqa Blake will long ponder on how different that outcome might have been if he had not dropped off the tackle in our ten. Moment of the match was Ollie Field blowing a kiss to the Bulls fans as he went over for his second try. Some mitigation for a very ordinary refereeing performance in that Cam Worsley will not have refereed a game of that pace and intensity very often, if at all. Great celebrations at the end and my apologies to any who had damaged eardrums after listening in today. Lovely chat with Mash both before and after the game. I had Ollie as MOM but so many others to mention, my mate Mr Dee was superb, Bucks had a cracker, Liam was an inspiration as was Tommo. Ata made holes in some of them with his hits (more hits than Madonna). Enjoy, Knights fans, we are at a golden time.
  3. That's Gledders with his hair slicked back, init?
  4. Benny had the Bulls in knots in the first half that day.
  5. Dean's a top bloke. Did a brilliant job with West Bowling and look how they are going now.
  6. Kieran stopped Emmanuel Waine dead in his tracks on Sunday (not an easy task). I said to him afterwards 'That was a great shot'. His reply 'TBH, I closed my eyes!' Lovely stuff.
  7. Who'd be a coach?
  8. Yes, I made the same comparison. And talk about cat and bag, someone has been naughty. The Zoe Hornby news was embargoed until tomorrow.
  9. Megan Pakulis moving to NRLW side Gold Coast Titans with immediate effect. Been fantastic at the Valks but a great opportunity for her.
  10. Remember it well, made worse by the fact that Charlie Martin scored the winning try and then told everyone afterwards that he didn't ground the ball!
  11. Exactly that.
  12. London have five on loan, Emmanuel 'Ball Of Lions' Waine (Teanbo fettled him last time!), Louix Gorman from HKR who scored in the Amsterdam Challenge, Lennie Ellis, young hooker from HKR, Kian McDermott, prop from Wigan and back row, Lukas Mason who was at Siddal. They also have Scott Galeano's best pal. Luke Polselli.

  14. I have heard the 'official' word, Gav but having watched him in the last three games, Ata's hand injury # is definitely a problem with some passes, not all. Watch him readjust on the pass he threw to BJB at the hooter yesterday. And some of the flying out of the line to put a hit in is so that he doesnt have to grapple the player in the defensive line, I reckon. I actually saw him flexing that hand against Fev during play which was what prompted the question to Mash. His hit on Vuniyayawa last week just wrongfooted the rest of our defence and, if anything, contributed to the Fev prop's momentum down the hill. But... having said all that, he terrorised that Widnes defence in the second half yesterday with his strong running in.

  17. I was rather hoping it would be Ryan Cox again. He was excellent in the Widnes Cup game.
  18. See the Knights/Widnes have Scott Mikalauskas in the middle.

  22. Law in on the wing for Bish and start Ata on the bench with Macca and Liam in the halves and Sam at hooker.
  23. But what engages them. I dont really think its the footy as such. More a day out with 'me mates', gang culture thing. There must be a key to them fancying another day out at the weekend!
