George Hotel Museum not going ahead (Merged Threads)

Alternatively, it might appeal more to decent sponsors because it's not in "Hidden in Huddersfield". -

My (usually ignored) opinion and advice: Walking 10km every night on knackered knees will only make things work. See your GP, get referred to an orthopedic surgeon, get on his list asap, get the clock ticking. -

I understand that. It's no good either, if no one visits it. Tricky problem. Sponsorship? -

Media city, Central Manchester or Central Leeds, unless, that is, people want to keep it a secret from those it wants to impress the most. -
I thought sub judice only applied once someone had been charged.

Not just security but structural integrity., mabe. Batts are heavy. Compatibility between brands. There'd have to be a standard of some sort, I guess. I read somewhere that some guy with an early Merc hybrid was asked for £17 k for a set of batteries. His failed set was just out of the 7 or 8 year warranty. The life of an IC -engined car is around 13 or 14 years, I understand, and yes, a replacement engine for an E-CLASS could be £10k. Nevertheless, a used EV might be a risky buy. Won't bother me. Best bit? I have a mate who is a huge fan of Teslas. Been banging on about them for years. Despite being well able to afford a Tesla, he has a Skoda Superb Estate with 125 k on the clock. -

Real colic is SO f €£¥%#$× painful. Frightening. Feels like your kidney is about to explode. Doesn't respond to pain killers. If it happens again, get to A &E. That's what I was told by the people in Huddersfield when it happened to me 28 years ago! -

Imagine the pull of the combined programmes. "Four in a bed in the sun with a gumshield"

Channel 4 certainly has some popular programming on topics of national importance, so we should feel right at home with the new darling of the forum. How long before the love-in ends ? Anyone but Sky, donchaknow. https://www.thinkbox.tv/research/barb-data/top-programmes-report/?tag=CH4

Sometimes it feels like they build the car around the most unreliable component so you have to do just as you say. Its all about Design for Manufacturing - the process of designing parts, components or products for ease of manufacturing. But then: 'Right to repair' law to come in this summer - BBC News and Drivers face higher repair costs if UK approves ban on aftermarket parts | RAC Drive Regarding choice of vehicle. Skoda Superb Estate comes highly recommended.
-
Indeed it was. But given the car is already manufactured, it beats making another new one. Current fall in car output has to be greener than an increase in car output. Scrapping an existing car to buy a new battery powered one does not make sense to me. Move to electric, or hydrogen or even phlogiston, fine, but not because it look as good down at Waitrose.
-
How about this as a thought? Buy a decent, big, reliable, 3 to 5 year old high-mileage petrol or diesel car. They are quite green since they have already been made. Lower insurance costs, too. The average life of such vehicle is around 15 years, too.

Tow a caravan? Then look VERY carefully before buying a battery electric or a hybrid. These usually have a very low (non-existent in some cases) towing limit and can suck the range out of any car.
