22 A and B grades… 2 leagues of 11, with cross division derby fixtures. Just sayin’

Slava Ukraini!

If we had 2 Super Leagues of 10, we could have 20 teams with those sorts of crowds.

Not at all. He has demonstrably a technique that has repeatedly injured players. Which involves hurling himself at an opponent. I am delighted Wigan came away with all of their players fit and well. I don’t make the rules, and have no idea of how he is coached or what he thinks will happen. I am relieved that it didn’t go as badly as last week. If that’s ok by you? I hope all the other teams he plays against similarly come through unscathed.
-
Maybe. Maybe not. I doubt you would hold back in pointing out a Wigan player doing that. I couldn’t care less what Leigh do. In fact, I hope they win at Wembley. A week after causing a lot of damage to a lot of limbs using this technique he goes again. My sole concern is making our players come through unscathed. Which they did today. Oh, and I appreciate it’s widening the whole what is wrong with Leigh debate, but I wonder whether Wigan will draw attention to Hardaker’s attempted eye gouge on Farrell?

Dupree looks like the sort of prop we haven’t had for a decade. A big and mobile player. When Havard gets back, he can replace Byrne, and we will suddenly find ourselves with a decent pack of good size. Having played Leigh at home this week end, I see we play Hull KR at home next Friday. Given that both of them have their minds firmly on a much bigger occasion, that is extraordinarily fortuitous.

With the controversial sending off having lead to our being out of the cup, I am hoping that we come back after the week off for the cup final with Havard fit. In which case, we could have, in Ellis, Havard and Dupree, 3 above average props. Which would be the first time in a while.

I think you’ve signed him for next year. Maybe a change of scene would do him good?
-
You could perhaps have Singleton now?

I asked a simple enough question. It was relevant in terms of the reaction to losing a player for a long time (and possibly ending their career), though this time because of an illegal tackle. It seems to me that it is directly on point. I actually think that the disciplinary committee is one of the best things about our game’s administration. I was also encouraged by the reaction of the RFL to say that they will take this very seriously. Hopefully Walmsley will be fit for the internationals, and Saints will allow him to play if he is.

superten 2 leagues of 10 and 3rd league 16

We are going to watch Leigh v Hull KR at Wembley in a few weeks. Both of those clubs could well have been on the outside looking into a closed shop SL over the last 10 years… there are 20 teams with the potential to run full time teams and thrive. The current SL 12 plus Toulouse, London, Bradford, Fev, Halifax, York, Sheffield and Widnes. I have seen 6 of these achieve great things during the short(ish) time I have been watching our great game. 2 of these were league and World Club champions, another won the league, 2 others won the Challenge Cup, and one was runner up in the Cup. Toulouse’s strengths are well known, and York has huge potential. What have we got to lose?? Two leagues of 10! The TIME IS NOW! -

2 leagues of 10 playing each other home and away and teams in the other league once… -
My point about milking a penalty was an entirely separate one, as a way in which Marshall (who is often hit high I suspect because of his height and running style) might draw attention to being hit high. I did not mean to imply Lewis did this. I have not checked and I do not recall his doing so at all.
