  1. Compared to the initial aspiration of 65-70k and that they have had no other games in this series to sell fir months.
  2. It's a shame that I've had to put Hull Kingston Bronco on ignore but it is the right thing to do at this time.
  3. Traditions move on but I hope this one can remain. Also, we need to find a way of getting 'giant crows' involved.
  4. Released today at 1pm
  5. Which also fits with the criteria IMG initially proposed for the gradings - and which survived mostly intact except for things like catchment - which were very much around what do have that actually exists, not what do you have that has potential.
  6. It is worth repeating that no broadcaster remotely cares about this.
  7. The question then isn't anything around why Odsal isn't being improved - we know the reasons and know that situation is highly unlikely to change at any point in the foreseeable. The question then is: is it acceptable that the minimum standards allow a ground like Odsal and should they be changed if it is not acceptable? The following question would be: are Bradford uniquely so important to Super League that minimum standards that allow a ground like Odsal have to be acceptable regardless?
  8. So, to be cost-neutral, the next deal needs to deliver £32m. That just keeps SL in the central funding it is now (too low) and can't sustain the tiers below it. It's also not time neutral. That's development/infra money that could have been used for the whole game over the next eighteen months. It will now be paying for the supposedly able-to-enter-SL-on-nought-pounds York and Toulouse to have some squad players. The way to avoid any of this, of course, was to stick to the actual plan and keep SL at 12 until the game could afford to expand it. Everything else flows from that ridiculous mid-season, back of fag packet, change of course.
  9. The NFL is obviously literal about its laterals. I've seen the play but not the decision - it did look forward?
  10. I'm in favour of using the one off boost to support the whole game as much as possible. I don't think squad players for Toulouse and York are that special to take away this money.
  11. I'll repeat: I don't care whether it's a major shift. The game has just decided to give a substantial chunk of its one-off commercial income boost to two clubs just so the top tier can avoid loop fixtures.
  12. You don't think it's controversial that at a time when the sport has significant funding issues that a much needed boost is being used to fund a leap to 14 clubs in the top tier - an expansion that was decided at short notice and with no consideration for the rest of the game mid season? You do you but I think believing it to just be the normal outcome of usual processes is ... odd.
  13. I am not okay with our most successful international tour being used to cover the costs of York and Toulouse joining Super League.
  14. We'll have none of that woke nonsense here, thank you.
  15. Viewing figures are up, attendance is up, engagement is up, and we're about to have one of the highest attended international series ever held in this country. A series that has seen new sponsors come on board for the first time in a few years. That all equals income. Granted, we're now wasting that income by using it to pay for journeymen Aussies in Super League but the fact that the money is there is a sign that Step 2 was (is) being delivered and more money coming in as a result.
  16. If you want to understand why “young people” are not going out enough, not buying houses etc etc then you need to know that that wage is not remotely unusual for the kind of jobs available to them. It’s a joke but it’s how things are.
  17. I actually don’t mind that at all.
  18. You asked could I point to something, I pointed to something. You asked about administration, replies were given about administration. That's not discursive.
  19. I hope we're all outraged by the length of time the video review is taking.
  20. Second half is much lower quality than the first so far
