  1. Going to grandparents and/or going on what players themselves tick and you'd probably cover a similar number of countries but in different areas.
  2. Nah. I'm backing the RFL on this. You had your chance. You had your code. Now, you have to wait. Nur.
  3. But now you are guaranteed to purchase should tickets be available. From the seller's perspective, that's all working fine.
  4. I agree with the framing of what you're saying but it does need pointing out that the released pre-postponement sales are open to some degree of caution owing to the later admission about double-counting.
  5. Or indeed, the same expectation that, uniquely, they should be allowed to wallow decades on.
  6. And yet they maintained the investment and approach for the next couple of years.
  7. I’m not sure they do transition. “Small minded” simply means they prioritise their own view of what is best for their club in the moment over and above everything else. That may actually be very sensible for the immediate perspective. Just that is always how the game is run … with the reach and wealth it now enjoys in the UK the result.
  8. Is that what’s being said consistently? I thought the pro argument was more that there is a structured framework which makes clear what kinds of investment are beneficial and will be rewarded, and we have a broader range of clubs than previously now doing that. Leading to improvements for them on the field, off the field and in grading points. That we still have small minded owners who can’t hold a view for more than a season and a half without wanting to change their minds and find a magic bullet can overlap with that easily enough.
  9. Thirty plus years ago and irrelevant to today
  10. Apologies. It’s been a long day involving far too many lengthy work calls to government departments. Some things will go sailing over my head right now.
  11. Again, literally nothing to stop any club doing that right now.
  12. The presence of Cornwall doesn’t stop anyone “financially consolidating” anywhere else. The game needs to stop looking for outsiders to blame.
  13. Agreed. Complete failure by the people who run the game.
  14. It doesn’t matter and we should stop pretending it’s the most important issue facing the game.
  15. And yet he has chosen to leave Cornwall RL behind and be part of the Truro City journey.
  16. And it is being made very clear that we are only guests at their party and always will be.
  17. Yes. I have mixed views but it’s clear he began to enjoy the whole Truro City side a lot more a while back.
  18. It’s certainly the fault of whoever has overseen the slashing of central funding and the removal of any pretence of a sustainable, national development strategy. The sport will only wake up when it loses a heartland club though. They’re the only ones that count.
  19. *insert inspiring phrase in Irish* the Longhorns! Good to see them being proactive. Will the RLI even notice?
  20. What you need is for your dad to be a glory hunter and then all the nostalgia sport accounts can’t touch you.
  21. With talk of a revised one to follow. You love to see it.
