I think the thing with Skerret is there were times when he completely lost his head. At that point you just knew someone was going to take an elbow in a tackle or knees on the floor.

I remember going watching Saints at Bradford and Jeff Grayshon (I’m 90% sure it was him) being sent off. At the time the players walked up the stands to get off the pitch a few Saints fans calling him a dirty bar steward as he came off. The next thing he was plowing into them I suppose you could call it doing a Cantona but 10 or so years before him.

Kelvin Skerret I reckon all players who played against him had an eye out for where he was. I’d also add Morley but I don’t think he was as dirty as Skerret but he played close to the line so often got it wrong. Edited to add I remember seeing an interview with Gordon Tallis were he was asked if there was any player he looked out for in the NRL. Firstly he said no then he corrected himself and said Moz adding you should always know were Morley is.

If we did only fans we’d definitely get more search traffic.

The one thing you get with Lees is he does the hard stuff not usually appreciated by fans but always by the players you play with. As he’s often one of the first players putting kick pressure on and also one of the first players there on kick chases. These things arent usually associated with props which is probably another reason it doesn’t get spotted. I suppose you need a pack with balance you couldn’t play 4 Walmaleys or Burgessesas as your props. You need players to fit in with them who aren’t quite as good in yardage but take up the slack on the work rate.

The NRL it’s self isn’t a national RL having clubs from two countries and looking like a third could soon be added. As I said later I wouldn’t expect us to be using that unless there was some sort of take over/link up with the NRL.

They don’t have to do anything but if there was a way to stop anyone else using premier league they would’ve. So as a game we should have a bit of confidence in the brand. Either RL Super League or Betfred Super League are distinctive enough from any other league. There is no magic name out there that will suddenly push us up the national consciousness.

So we did nothing because we lack confidence but the premier league did nothing because they have loads of confidence.

I know with the grand final community clubs can get discounted tickets so when they then sell them at face value the club can make a bit of money. Not sure if this is in place for internationals though.

So why didn’t football and RU stop all other sports from using premier league or Premiership. My guess is they are just generic terms and it isn’t possible to enforce. Now if you started using Barclays premier or Betfred SL then that I’m sure would be something you could take to court.

Going into the last test do we expect the players who haven’t had much of a run out to get some game time. That would be Currie,Dupre,Farrell, Mulhern and Williams don’t think I’ve missed anyone who’s available.

Wilkin seemed surprised he was asked his thoughts on the game then. What did he think he was doing there.

That would’ve been the ideal from the start the question is how much recognition we lose by dropping SL now.

There’s talk that a proposed RU premiership and United Rugby Championship clubs league may be called Super League as well. So maybe we just came up with a good idea that other sports are following.

Worth noting the when you put super league in google the majority of searches still come up as the Betfred SL. We’d be giving good brand recognition up to start again.

If that was the case they would’ve done it when we named the womens game super league. Which I’m sure was after football had the WSL.
