  1. that one will go down in "infamy"
  2. somebody else giving you the needle now sidnee?
  3. i meant the shirt is devalued by having the huddersfield badge rather than the Fev badge, but i do agree with you, our old badge was class.
  4. ayup Robin, told suggy you had gone cruising round the hawaiian islands, he said makes a change from hampstead heath. did you see pearl harbour, she was in my class at school, had a very large navel, married teddy johnson and formed a singing duo. not heard anything of her for ages, seems to have sunk without trace. (and if that doesn't upset someone i'll eat my lei.)
  5. if they had made that the home one, and the blue one the away shirt, i would have got one of each.
  6. i think most people were saying he wasn't good enough at hooker, and he isn't.
  7. bet she dunt complain when you take her warm weather training in the summer.
  8. yes, credit where it's due. the players and the coaching staff took the flak for the leigh performance, they deserve the praise for today. the batley attack hit a brick wall today and our attacking play promises so much more. well done rovers, onwards and upwards. also, well done jamescolin, you looked frozen today mate.
  9. our player passed the ball after the ref shouted held, he completely ignored the fact that the rochdale players should have released our player when he shouted held. it should have been our penalty, a point stu was trying to make.
  10. well, not really an extension, more a conservatory, but he's signed it and it looks quite nice.
  11. whats this obsession with wanting to play andy kain at hooker. briggs is a good prospect in my opinion, but his form at present doesn't warrant him a halfback spot in front of kain.
  12. mines in the car window now.
  13. he says at the end, he wants leeds carnegie to become "self staining". when you're as full of ###### as that man, self staining shouldn't be a problem.
  14. Rochdale may have been poor, but for those lads to travel over on a night like that and play in those conditions, and then have to travel back at that time, all after a days work and then back to work this morning, they get nothing but praise from me. players like that love this game. they're not in it for the money, thats for sure. they gave it their all for 80 minutes and i'm sure their supporters are proud of them.
  15. how about changing the caption on the poster on the main site. something like THESE THREE NEED SELECTING should do it.
  16. a hand in the birds bush is worth two in the .......... no, no it's gone. sorry.
  17. is this colin smith who used to play loose forward for us some years ago. i wish him all the very best.
  18. were they more exciting because of the atmosphere created by larger crowds?
  19. 1952 cup final, rovers v workington. oh how are the mighty fallen.
  20. forget the fact that this was the northern rail cup. what we had was a squad of 17 players, all deemed good enough for first team duty.D.P.has assembled this squad and it will be down to him to make it work. diid we sign finn because he was considered a suitable replacement for Harris, or because he was player of the year in div.2. did we sign the papuans because they are top players in positions where were weak, or because the are papuans and that means they're good. did we get the lads from leeds because they were seen as top young prospects who could improve our team, or simply because they are with leeds so they must be good. i don't know the answer, but we must assume that DP did not just sign these players willy nilly and so he must be given chance to mould this squad into what he wants. if he turns things around and gets us to where we want to be, good coach. if he fails, well, you know how it works................
  21. when he sent one of theirs to the sin bin i said to my mate, laughton will make sure we don't see much of the ball for the the next ten minutes, and i was right. and why, with only a few minutes left, did we play at a ball that was rolling into touch, and give them a scrum on our twenty.
