  1. Not my favourite film of all time and I doubt the play is much better, but here is a face that Rugby League should exploit (despite the ball in that picture). She will undoubtedly be delighted to know that her home town of Sleaford, in Lincolnshire, is in the process of trying to launch a side. This is a young lady who has made a career out of being famous (and good luck to her) and I'm sure something mutually beneficial could be made to work.
  2. Think of the Hetheringtons in bed together. That should do the trick.
  3. I'm not saying it's how it will be with these, but with every Sky channel, you have to be subscribing to that channel at that time to watch something that you have recorded on it.
  4. I think it's a wonderful idea and works on so many different levels. Completely impossible, of course, because there just isn't the level of interest in RL to sustain this, but if we could sustain a structure like this I think it would be great. I wouldn't hold out hope for a club in Lyon any time soon though, PS, but of course, I'm sure you know all about that anyway.
  5. Precisely. Show's that Wire have got quite a long way to go before they can class themselves as sitting at Super League's top table.
  6. Which team is that that? I thought everybody in Leeds was a Man Utd fan.
  7. I hope they add an extra game or two for a frivolous appeal.
  8. Isn't Leeds ten times the size of St Helens? Anything less than ten times the amount of Leeds fans is a poor showing from them.
  9. Ian Smith for me, followed by Ben Thaler. I feel that we tend to get faster flowing games with these two in charge.
  10. It would have been twice that for a Wigan forward on the Leeds full back.
  11. They haven't been trained in another federation either, so I should think they'll have no problem. Exactly my thoughts and at this stage, a far more sensible option that parachuting Toulouse or Paris into the competition. If we see one or two French players at most SL clubs, alongside a competitive Catalans team, then the French national will start to become better and gain a higher profile - encouraging more players to take up the game and so beginning a virtuous circle. Why it's ever been otherwise, I don't know, but then this is rugby league.
  12. I believe, under the criterion of 'Panorama', Odsal is the best stadium in the world of rugby. So you all got that wrong, didn't you? For the record, there were at least three grammatical errors in the post by PS that criticised Wellsy's English.
  13. To be fair, I've never thought Morley to be that good. It seems he has an inflated reputation based around playing with the sheep-stealers for a few years. He's a good player, but not in the class of Peacock, Fielden (in Bradford days) and Graham.
  14. Which means Ferriol has won the first battle as Morley takes his eye of the ball to put in a big hit. He has got form.
  15. So, this thread contains two reasons why people from Warrington shouldn't be allowed access to the internet.
  16. Bill: Where do you want your
  17. That should be the end of Ablett's season.
  18. Just heard that we have signed Chev Walker. - Hmmm. Not sure, but at the right price this might not be the worst signing. Glenn Hall is leaving the club he is off to Casleford. I don't think we've seen anywhere near the best of Hall, but on this year's perfomances, no loss. Steve Menzies is going back to aus after the club have not opffered a new playing contract... just coaching. - This had better be because he wants to retire. Not because we don't want him. Fielden is in negotiations with both clubs as is aspinwall. Fielden - OK at the right price. Aspinwall would be an improvement. Andrew Ryan would be a good signing. He is a n 80 min workhorse in the mould of Danny Gartner Too old. The quota goers down to 4 players this year. Dont forget. Scutton could be going back to leeds yet Better not be
  19. What's he ever won?
  20. Performance of the year so far, from any team. As bad as Hull were, that was Wigan's doing and some of the passing for the tries was sublime (O'Loughlin, Tomkins and Deacon). If they play like that for the rest of the year, the rest may as well finish now.
  21. Huddersfield, but with a single tier behind the other goal. Fantastic ground - although I accept a bit of terracing would be nice.
