Hastings at Salford versus Williams at Canberra. Who was the better player?

That's really sad news. I was looking forward to seeing how he went against the elite.

Can't disagree with this. Only thing i'd add is that Sydney Rooster needs more abuse; to say Hastings is one of the best half backs in the game is surely trolling.

If he's that good a 7, Doueihi moves to 13. He's not, so he was shifted.

If he's a better 7 than Brooks, why then was he shifted to accommodate him? Not my comp at all, i haven't seen a SL game in years.

Is he a better 7 than Luke Brooks or George Williams? Is he a better 13 than Knowles or Radley?

To be fair, i think he has a valid point about the quality of the dream team - it doesn't bode well if the Superleague English players arent heavily represented. However, a quick look at the 2017 team and only Luke Gale and OLoughlin are in the team, so..

I'm confused. He's no where near these guys, but one of the most inform 'middles' in the NRL. Form is silly imo when discussing England. It's how good are you fundamentally.

For balance, it isn't name only. It's a reputation of playing well when it matters. From all accounts, Farrell has been better this year for their club, but i've seen both play International RL and based on that, i'd go with Bateman, too.

To be fair. This is harsh, i think he's an underrated player, but he's not England quality.
