Looked up the video on U Tube and you're right,it's well worth a watch. It shows the respect that Kevin and the club have for the supporters.

You're assuming every club is going to buy into this in a big way.Some will do enough to maintain their SL position.Given the obstacles in place I see very few Champ clubs being capable of mounting a realistic promotion attempt. i really hope this new system is a massive success.However I have my doubts.

If the SL clubs I'm thinking about had ambition for the last 20 odd years we might not be where we are now.I don't think they'll be filled with burning ambition now.Only time will tell.

From a self preservation point of view,they don't need to strive for a cat A.They only need to keep a high B.No Championship club will be able to compete and overtake them

I think 12 cat A clubs within 12 years is a pipedream.Some SL clubs will realise that to stay safe they can spend more on infrastructure than the team.Therefore the product on the field will suffer.As usual self preservation will take over.I have seen on here teams already criticised for not spending the full cap.

And how many decades is this short term transition going to last?

I'm still trying to fully understand this.At what stage of the season and/or how often are the Grade scores re-assessed?Apologies if this has already been explained.

I'm yet to be convinced this won't lead to a closed shop SL.Some on here seem to think this will be a good thing for the game but I am not one.

Purely self interest like every other club.The expected grade A clubs are'nt voting for the good of the game.

I'm not trying to argue here,but have'nt I read on here that certain weightings will come into play.Are they transparent? Or have I misread?

I'm sure most clubs will vote in favour.But I wonder how many will regret that decision when the gradings are finally announced.

Of course it is,but it's not an impossibility.How many posts on this thread are based on speculation and assumptions.

Leigh should 100% been promoted,but without sensible weightings the possibility remains.

I don't think many people would deny that Leigh fully deserved their promotion at the end of last season.If IMG gradings were in place then, there is a fair chance they would have been denied promotion.This worries me.If this assumed "fair transparent weighting system" does not materialise,I wonder how many on here will change their opinions.Or will the SL I'm alright Jack mindset continue.

Recently came across two really old paperback books by Leon Uris. Just finished reading Exodus for the umpteenth time.Still a very good read.I'm going to have a short break before another read of Mila 18. I've read most of his stuff 2 or 3 times, but nothing for a few years.I think I'll have to try finding them again.
