IMG Grading System (Many Merged Threads)

I never said that based on the stadium they should or should not be in SL... it was just an observation on the stadium... so why your idiotic response -

yep that is true... and it is a top ranking club, good on Cas but it doesn't hide what the stadium really is... although as the scores dictate it doesn't matter one iota -

are the club who gets the top grade doing an open top tour of the city ... -
on your point "filled with stars"... too be frank I don't know any of the Samoa squad and I wouldn't say England are full of stars. Of course depending upon definition of "stars". OK I don't watch any NRL and only attend games home and away of the SL club we support. So whilst not a NRL follower the world of RL needs to make me more aware of the stars and what I'm going to miss, maybe... then I may get off me backside to attend. So how a non RL follower and one with just a casual interest is going to be thinking gosh that team is full of stars...

I can understand that answer, assuming your talking about their approach to how the game some be played or entertaining... Take the GF their was only one standout incident or play that one would use in a highlight reel of what a great product on the field we have... as distinct from say Hull KR approach of battle up the middle of the pitch and put in a high kick... with Wigan attempting to push/pull or should say dragging anyone near 20 yards of the touch line into touch...- 9,995 replies

just imagine if the player on the ground needed resuscitation and in not moving the arm to check the person was in a safe situation something worse happened to the injured player. Yep I know the rules but I would hope that context and unusual circumstance is taken into account and why someone may need to check if the bloke was breathing... a few seconds awaiting for the doc may be too late. Can't believe Burgess hasn't been called to disciplinary...

happened so quickly that both the missus and myself mentioned it immediately and could not understand that when they replayed it after he had attention they stopped at the point of the first tackle before he went in whilst on the floor... each time on the replay they stopped showing it all the way through. I could not understand guess the TV decided not to show all...

Wigan the better team on the day, despite hull kr at times winning the territory battle. In that KR in more advanced part of field yet for me only had one attack ploy...a high kick from lewis...wigan dealt with it easily... too be honest I was disappointed with KR attacking play...yep wigan defensively good but KR didnt offer any variation except late in the game. Super performance from wigan and in the main always looked in control with one or two exceptions late on...

I'll look forward to it, although Rob no doubt will be as optimistic as he has been for many a year, as well as hailing the new signing as going to make a huge difference - as per understandably what he publically says every year. I'm more interested in listening to Ian Blease to judge whether situation of last 5 years or more will change. That is around the root and branch reforms he has identified as needed to change the consistent outcomes of recent years.

Andrew Abdo on the NRL’s relationship with SL

Unless my mind is playing tricks I thought the NFL did a lot of work over years with an awareness and promotion of its sport, before it had a game over here. The channel 4 (I think) highlights and live game packages feeding the sport to the UK. One of the reasons for the NFL London game being a success, plus it attracted followers from across Europe where they had done the promotion work of the sport as well to a London game. That is they didn't just plonk a game in London and promote that game, they spent years creating the appetite. -
not sure I follow the logic... surely if video ref is not certain then are we asking for the video ref to adjudge without the evidence, that is guess which in his opinion is the likely occurrence. How is that different than the ref judging upon his closer naked eye view a difficult call . Sometimes the video tech/camera's don't give a clear sight and sometimes the ref being closer can make a better judgement... but would like to check in case video's shows something different than his naked eye judgement.

on a side note - yep, you would imagine they would... but I guess it's normal nowadays obviously its the hospital that determines where your born, however you may only be their a couple of days which may cause you to think where you are brought up is your birth place when not thinking too much and an off the cuff comment. My three children all born in the now demolished Liverpool Maternity Hospital and hence one would guess they think they are scousers. My youngest was at a event and commented to us that all the people were scousers and she was the only one not... we had to remind her where she was born and hence was a fellow scouser. chuckle chuckle... being fair to her she lived in huyton for a short couple of weeks before we moved elsewhere... so you would think you would know where you were born.... -
have not see any... then again I don't watch sky much and not last few weeks. any other adverts on other media channels I have missed.

well, their are a lot of new houses given planing and being built as we speak in Widnes let alone Runcorn, so should be met quite shortly.... I guess depends on population stats being updated. So that's another factor... how quick stats updated.... chuckle.... -
used to use the social club myself, it was open when the pubs used to shut in the afternoon under the old licencing laws... my mates lived on the Bluebell estate and when pub of same name shut we went down to the social club...

well I being an Huyton lad myself would say the vandalism was not surprising given the particular part of Huyton. Me mam always insisted we lived in Huyton-with-Roby to distinguish us from that part of town, well still referred to village when I was a lad. Having said that when they married they had the reception in the Eagle & Child with a few stories to tell us... chuckle... Anyway I still have family on the St John's and Woolfall Heath and still love visiting Huyton, although having been born in early 50's still get annoyed seeing how the "village" has been developed so poorly....

I think being a little unfair, I thought Sezer did fine at Leeds behind a poor set of forwards and was instrumental in getting Leeds to the GF... especially showed his capabilities in the semi beating Wigan until poleaxed by Bateman and putting him out of GF... For sure he often took stick as the fall guy and bias from poor expectations from his Giants period and comments influencing how people perceived him...

I have no idea but I would be surprised that PL don't have an ability to have an input... whether they use it would be another matter. Having said that again I have no idea without knowing the contract... so speculation on my part and I suspect most others that may comment -

i didn't say pick I wrote have some control... as to your question I don't know but I would have thought most big sports would have some control or put another way.. an input.... -

I agree but I guess an underlying implication is that the RFL should have a contract that they have some control over which fixtures are played on what broadcaster... whilst games can always be poor competitively but at least can select a game that is less likely... -

Hard to disagree with your comment, nevertheless it is hardly dramatically changing anything with respect to Castleford nor SL/IMG reimagining the sport aim. For sure its something that could have been done but I guess wasn't because their is/wasn't any real business imperative to gain.
