  1. Is there any chance of long term injured players such has Barnes returning for play offs?
  2. 2nd plays 5th, 3rd plays 4th - 5th team will never play at home regardless of play off results. Any sign of these players coming back for the play offs?
  3. Any sign of these players coming back for the play offs?
  4. The sooner this season is over the better. Big improvements required for next season if we are to get out of this terrible league.
  5. If finances stretch far enough I think we should be looking at 2 or 3 imports to supplement the local players, IMO I would rather go down this route rather than travellers from Lancs & Yorkshire. Most successful Town teams I remember have included imports.
  6. How good are these teams above Town and below, wouldn't be surprised to see Town promoted again as underdogs.
  7. Congratulations on your tremendous result today.
  8. Even a better result, Doncaster got beat 41-10.
  9. Town will have a big say in the last 5 games, we play all four top teams, 2 at home Donny & Hunslet and Dewsbury & Oldham away.
  10. What trip was the 'horses head' between Bass Lake and Keswick painted blue?
  11. Definitely up there with the Old Trafford finals, also remember loads of fans making trips to Elland Road v Hunslet, (old) Huddersfield football ground and Bramley.
  12. Ged Byrne was the best bargain buy that I can remember, and pundits thought he was passed it when Wigan released him. That grand final try happened in the corner where most Town fans congregated. Phil Mckenzie, signed about the same time from Widnes was also a class act, happy days.
  13. I agree, was surprised how mediocre he was compared to the other big forwards, their left winger Masson was a handful and ran like a forward - seem to remember him from a couple of years ago running amok, a pity Murray didn't bring him to Town.
  14. North Wales tired in the second half, Town were the fitter team and this seen them through to grab victory.
  15. We appear to struggle to make the hard yards when coming up against teams with bigger stronger forwards. Is Riley still at Town?
  16. Town have started the season extremely well with a relatively young side full of local talent and will no doubt give Dewsbury a game - the result I guess could go either way but hopefully the young guns will give Mr Sykes and co the runaround. UTT.
  17. Read on line we are going to be a prop down, Tom Curwen broke his ankle in this game.
  18. If Swinton keep on surprising something has to give in this division i.e. a team who was tipped to stay up pre-season could well go down. Who is your money on?
  19. My understanding of the previous sharing, regarding managers, was Shankly always complaining about the state of the pitch after rugby. There should be no problem on this issue with the proposed synthetic pitch.
  20. It was never an easy relationship back in the 50's when Red's and Town last shared. I support both teams and hope it will be better this time. I personally think that both ardent town and reds should remove their blinkers and face up to reality for the sake of both teams. BP and DP are no longer fit for purpose.
  21. Wasn't at the game but listened on radio for the last quarter of first half and all the second. From commentary Haven appeared to dominate the second half with little penetration from Town, could be a long season ahead for both teams.
  22. Can someone remind me why the cloffocks site was preferred over Derwent Park, it is that long ago since the original proposal. Could it have something to do with the proposed development of a new supermarket?
