  1. I used to watch Featherstone in the seventies and seem to remember them coming on the pitch to a trumpet solo. Or had I had too much ale in the rovers social club.
  2. Hard to say at the moment. No doubt we will lose some support as some folks will not like travelling 40 miles for a home game. However the core support will treat it as a day out and will turn up and I envisage quite a few locals will join us and hopefully people on holiday will take a look at us. Overall attendance will increase. Of the 400 places available the majority were sold within a couple of hours of going on sale.
  3. Barrow Hunslet Town Cougars and if we play like we did last week Crusaders to get a narrow win over Donny
  4. It takes about 45 minutes Steve. I had a run out last month to have a look. There’s plenty of parking at the ground so we should be ok.
  5. Your mistakes definitely cost you but you’ve got some good players there. I was particularly impressed with Scott and Sherratt.
  6. A good win for Crusaders after most people were tipping Bears to triumph. Some great tries scored in glorious weather and that ground looks good. We’ll be able to judge ourselves next week as Drakeford has kindly allowed us to attend a match from tomorrow.
  7. WWR to get their first win, then wins for Barrow Hornets Cougars Town
  8. Workington the better team and played well Steve but we gifted them a couple of tries and some poor defending shipped in a couple more. No complaints about the winner’s though.
  9. Quite right Steve, I’m with you with that prediction mate
  10. I’m going for all home wins with Raiders just sneaking over the line.
  11. I had a drive across on Wednesday to have a look at the place, that’s a bonnie looking ground. I’m looking forward to the first match there.
  12. Eddie the intention is to run a bus from Wrexham so a match day ticket plus transport would be about £17 say. Season ticket holders would be asked to make a donation, we’ll have to see how it pans out. For me i travel 10 minutes to the Queensway now it will be 40 minutes to Eirias Park, not the end of the world. No doubt a few won’t travel and unfortunately will be lost but I think we’ll pick up a lot more support from the move. With the squad we’ve got for this year keep an eye out for us mate.
  13. It was a deserved red though, a high tackle. I think that’s the first time he’s been sent off. I don’t even remember him getting a yellow before. That’s two friendless that we’ve lost now and I’ve been very happy with both performances. A good season ahead for the Cru!
  14. A good game both teams obviously rusty. Crusaders shipped in three tries in the last ten minutes but they actually played well up to that point. A pleasing first run out.
  15. Looking forward to the first game for the Crusaders. With the players that we’ve retained and the ones we’ve added we will surprise a few this year.
  16. The RL should sign him up when he finishes playing on a PR type role. He’d spread the word in the Valleys
  17. Absolutely brilliant, that certainly brought back some memories. Thank you.
  18. Good on you Steve, I paid for mine a couple of weeks back. Looking at our squad we’re going cause a few surprises.
  19. Slightly off topic but didn’t a Featherstone forward play against his son?
