I’d add Lebanon. They’re Australia based anyway and should be competitive -

Yes but I’d add Lebanon to the Bowl -

I think it should be 4 Nations instead of 3. Fiji/PNG added depending who wins this weekend. The team that has just toured England replacing the team that comes over the following year The team that finishes 4th next year replaced by the winner of the bowl. -

Have you had personal experience with him? -
I’d love to be there but I’m working unfortunately. I really enjoyed the wheelchair games in the WC

mid season test with France next year
JM2010 replied to crashmon's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Just imagine if the RFL and the French Federation had worked together to develop the international game in the British Isles and France 20+ years ago then we might now be in a position where there could be a strong mid season NH competition and an end of season mixed SH and NH competition every year -
I’m not sure what the issue is with a test series against Tonga. We’ve been asking for England home fixtures and strong opposition. This series has provided both and the games are high intensity, close games yet we still find something to moan about
-
They won’t even play mid season tests down under so they’re definitely not gonna come here
-
The SH teams don’t need it. They’ve got their own 4N down there
-
I think 14 for now but if more money can be generated and playing numbers increased then 16 would be my ideal number with each club running an Academy.
-
Young, Makinson, Farnworth, Knowles, Williams, Wardle, Havard and Walmsley all out of the series. Big test of our strength in depth
-
For comparison, what are the SL figures?

I can’t even find a channel called Sky Sports Action. I’ve looked through all the Sky Sports Channels several times and can’t find the game anywhere! -
This is the bit I keep getting confused with. I thought Grade As we’re safe from relegation and the lowest finishing B gets relegated as long as a grade B wins the Championship GF. I didn’t think the amount of points counted other than to let you know how far or close you are from the relevant grade
-
Wigan, Leeds/Huddersfield and a decent sized ground in London for a test series against anyone other than NZ and Australia. For those two I’d like to see Emirates, Etihad and Elland Rd/Bramall Lane
-
Exactly. Use this series to promote the next and start building up international RL again. The reason why international RU is in a better state is that they have a plan and stick to it and have gradually built their international game
-
On a bright note. I really enjoyed last weekend’s game and am happy there is international RL being played both here and down under
-
Whether there are academies or not it would still be difficult to get u18s to commit to playing on a Sunday morning. Maybe the college game and tier 3 academies need to be developed more to keep this age group playing and potentially unearth new talent. Club links could be created between community clubs and colleges so that players are encouraged to stay in RL after college. The SL clubs should still run academies as well as a few regional academies
-
I think the best ways to do that is either the RFL to run regional academies backed up by development work or SL clubs setting up Tier 3 academies in different areas again backed up by development work
-
If the RFL and clubs can increase the amount of juniors playing the game then the quality and quantity of players coming through will improve and the community game will be in good health
-
I agree that all SL clubs should have an academy. They also need to be doing a lot of development work to produce players for their academy
