  1. Mick Ford is an absolute legend at Oldham. If anyone can turn the club around it's him. He'll leave no stone unturned that's for sure.
  2. Listened to it last night. Very interesting and positive for the club. Playing at boundary Park and having a positive relationship with latics owners is a big plus. I'm a massive Mick Ford fan and I think he'll have a massive impact on rugby league in Oldham. I quite honestly could've listened to him all night about his career and life. It was a very good listen. It'll take time, there are alot of what they called " lapsed fans",of which I am one. I've wanted this to happen for about ten years. It feels surreal to say the least. I'll probably be tempted back next season as for me this is a dream come true. Mick Ford and Oldham, doesn't really get any better.
  3. He's probably the reason so many have walked away.
  4. Loath to say it but Wigan by 12. I hope and pray it's the other way round. Come on Wire for gods sake.
  5. Anything said by Bill McLaren or Murray Walker.
  6. Me and my son should be booking our tickets tonight. All three fixture's. Can't #$@&ing wait.
  7. Watching the full test series. Can't wait.
  8. Attendance could've been better. I was there and the atmosphere was great,it always is at the Halliwell Jones (I'm a Wolves fan). It also could've been more competitive. Tonga games will be better.
  9. My sentiments exactly. No characters anymore. Every athlete as interesting as Steve Davis (he's probably the one who started it).
  10. Hopefully Fordy and co will be able to entice the quality the club needs. Some local talent and good relationships with our great local amateur clubs.
  11. Mick Ward is very highly regarded amongst Batley fans.
  12. All the best to you too. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
  13. Great stuff, they obviously love their to rugby league. The things they overcame just to get to the world cup. As well as being legally recognized in Greece. All the best to Greece rugby league .
  14. A few Batley fans on here have told me he's very highly regarded. I think we've missed him ever since he went.
  15. We'll never know. That's when people lose interest, when there's very or no information.
  16. They need to let the fans know as soon as they're signed.
  17. I can only it as I see it. Don't like it,well that's not my problem. I will keep up my good work
  18. If we did we wouldn't be where we are now. The games knackered in Oldham mate. For most of it's existence the new club haven't even played in the town. That's probably why the fan base is tiny. I hate to sound negative but it's just how I see it.
  19. I would've said they're attendances are better than ours. He's going to go if he thinks he'll get better chances elsewhere. It's a better club at the end of the day. What has a town's population got to do with the size of a club? Unfortunately Rugby league isn't as relevant in Oldham as it once was. The size of the crowds at games is a big indicator.
  20. He deserves his chance at a bigger club. Good luck to him.
  21. Surely the club should let the fans know if any of these "good" names are signed asap. I would've thought there are quite number of disenchanted roughyeds out there. We are desperately in need of some hope and positivity. We need some surprises, good ones though.
  22. Not a clue where he's from but he won't be at Oldham, well I wouldn't have thought so. If he does go elsewhere good luck to him. He's a cracking player with a potentially bright future.
  23. I thought someone would get a giggle with that one.
  24. Until everything's official we can't read too much into it. Surely the club must put any developments on its website.
