  1. Ellgren made some shockers in the 90s, but jesus christ. A literal backside on a kit
  2. How long till Degsy is offering out people/fans/clubs on twitter for a scrap in the "significant investment" new mascot outfit?
  3. Why does that matter? Its ridiculous and should be ridiculed. Even specsavers are in on it.
  4. Honestly Harry if I were you I'd be protesting outside the ground (presumably something is being organised) and making as much noise as possible on social media. He is a custodian of your club, you fans own it and it is nothing without you. This is disgraceful.
  5. Definitely some major positives, perhaps the main shame is accessibility (or rather the lack of) for people in vast swathes of the country.
  6. We were supposed to replace the 4 Nations with a "Confed Cup" of 8-10 teams evenly spread between World Cups. Instead we got a return to tours, and an Oceania Cup. The latter of those works rather similar to your nations league idea. Unfortunately it only includes Oceania nations. For me the ideal 4 year cycle would be: 1. World Cup 2. Oceania/European/Americas Cup (Nations League model) 3. Confed Cup (8 teams) 4. Oceania/European/Americas Cup The regional tournaments can act as qualifiers for the global events. I also can see an argument for having the tier 1 nations tour in the 4th year, rather than having them in qualifiers.
  7. It is through the agreement of the host broadcaster in a given territory. If FITE have paid for it, they own the broadcast rights. The BBC relationship is dual. They are the Broadcasters yes, but they, through a subcontractor(s) are the producers too. They are Broadcaster in the UK only. They, through their subcontractors, are producers on behalf of the RLWC2021. The content they produce isn't initially owned by the BBC, it is owned by RLWC2021 and then sold on to BBC, FITE, FoxTel etc. for the rights to show the tournament in their respective territories. So in short, the BBC don't have the rights to show the tournament outside of the UK. They geoblock their video clips and broadcasts accordingly.
  8. Individually the Kukis have better players, but Wales are playing much better as a team with the ball
  9. Wales have been excellent in this opening 10. Real team effort.
  10. That's how international feeds work. F1 around the world uses Sky Sports and their commentators - you won't be able to watch Sky Sports F1 clips on twitter in the USA though for example.
  11. Tbf they used a different TV studio at Headingley in one of the corners tbf
  12. Broadcasting deals routinely include clips for social media. Whoever owns the broadcast rights in Spain most probably.
  13. It's nothing to do with any of that, its who owns the rights in a given territory. The BBC own them for the UK. Someone else owns them everywhere else.
  14. Wales isn't in England but at the 2015 RUWC it was! I certainly see the logic.
  15. Bet you'd have been chuffed if you had paid £70 and seen folk doing that. Not blaming you at all mate, I would have done the same (indeed my dad and I did in 2013 at Cardiff for the Wales game after England), but I'm seeing a few people who have paid £70 etc for tickets and left doubting if it was worth it. That is damaging imo, as ultimately these are the high value customers that are central to the drive in revenues the organisers are promoting.
  16. They're letting a fair few physical moments go in this one. Just simmering nicely.
