Watching her talk about the new season, we are lucky to have so many who speak so well in the womens game.

Treating players as somehow more important than a worker in another job may be why some feel they can get away with using homophobic/racist/ableist slurs and still remain employed in the same industry.

The Super League Pod - has ended!

Paul Wellens is on the new Super League one. So is J** W*****. -
The Footy Show certainly gave that impression!

I was at school in the 80s and told not to use that word, so it's not as if it is should be a shock to anyone posting here it's seem that way (players from outside the UK may have an excuse, I have no idea.)

The sport should have decided when they made a song and dance of "banning" Ben Barba, where the line was, but didn't bother.

Successful league 1 season launch

If the RFL just didn't bother with a season launch, people would moan they didn't care about League 1. -
Successful league 1 season launch

It's always likely to be near where the majority of the clubs and media are though, isn't it? -
Very unlikely anyone other than RL fans would have been watching, with all the other sporting competition on around it.

Just seen this. Cameron Smith seems to explain it well.

Because it is their job. They have rules.

If I called someone what has been alleged here at work, I'd be punished. Why a sportsperson should be treated differently is beyond my comprehension.

"Just banter" Open season for opposition players to reference McGuire being blind in one eye? There are rules, if they don't like them, find another job, or just don't say stupid things on the field.

Another big signing. https://youtu.be/TgcLI0RA2nM

International Rugby League being amateurish
RigbyLuger replied to Jughead's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Why has it become "fact" for some that the World Cup lost money? -
I'm throwing stones at a poor attempt at whatever the club was trying to do, not those who turned up, and have through thin and thinner.
-
Wakefield, but I'm not responsible for their crowds, their media or marketing, so it's irrelevant. They chose to do what they did, if criticism isn't allowed, we should close down the message boards.
-
Unfortunately for the Bulls, they have a recent culture of exaggeration, hence why they've been pulled up over this. I said earlier, the crowd would have got more praise had they not tried this stunt beforehand and can't understand why they did because they got nowhere near.

Wigan in 2024. -
It is, but made to look not quite as good thanks to the nonsense hype. Did they do anything other than say "there's a game on and some entertainment so please come"?

Going for a World Record?

He spoke about being able to watch games without having to write on them in his retirement so how sad it is from that perspective, not least his family and friends for his passing.
