  1. I was taking tramadol and oxy-contin for years before I had a knee replacement, what I can say from a personal point is that these pills really do work with severe pain. They give you a really nice euphoric feeling and aid to a good night's sleep. The problem is, is when it's time to come off them. I was on these for 4-5 years and was at max dosage by the end and let me tell you it was torture. 2-3 weeks looking like I was in Trainspotting movie. After doing research online, there is a massive amount of athletes taking these 'opiate' type painkillers, and the clubs doctors were doling them out here there and everywhere.
  2. It will be interesting regarding Rugby League pacifique and France. There seems to be some real traction regarding Rugby league in the French Polynesia islands such as New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Wallis & Fortuna and French Polynesia. Would the players born there be able to represent France/French teams similar to someone born in the Falkland Islands for English teams. Would they count on the quota?
  3. How did you come to play for Ireland internationally McDermott sounds Scottish to me!
  4. I saw Clarke at a charity do, he had far too much ale and squared up to Rod Studd. Offered to "re-arrange his face". That was about 10-12 years ago. He was like a raging bull.
  5. The kid has been stealing a living. Played really well for the Storm for a few years, can count himself lucky for the career he had post St George.
  6. Watched as much as I could about him after his diagnosis, a really nice kid, loved his aboriginal roots. What an awful disease. It's heartbreaking
  7. I really wish the national emblem for the international team would be re-designed!! It is horrible and the word GREEK should be changed, preferably to Greece or even written in their own language (like Cymru). Just think it looks very amateur and poorly done. I bet someone on here could know one up in no time.
  8. Rochdale always seem to bring decent kits out. Although I must say that their sponsor has certainly got their money's worth!!! Really like both kits especially the away one.
  9. I have noticed for a long time, how many french players with North Africa/Middle east surnames. Especially in the lower leagues. I know France has shed loads of Algerian/Tunisian immigrants. Just wondering if they could play for Thier heritage countries
  10. I really like Wires home shirt. The collar and sleeve ends are a nice touch. You can only do so much with primrose and green. I do think that Oxen would have pounced on the Greenalls era of shirts though, like use some barbed wire somewhere. As for the sponsor, it looks fantastic, To have Hoover as a sponsor in SL is really good, it takes up a lot of the front but looks good enough for me.
  11. As always Catalans pull out 2 beauties. I'm trying to think of I've ever seen a rubbish kit from them**?They always seem to merge the Catalonian colours into the shirt really well. ** If someone could be a darling and put up every kit they've had since the first SL season I would be very grateful. Or as many as you can find.
  12. There is a place in Hull on Cleveland Street that make all types of flags, Google them bud
  13. Great stuff from Ellgren. Really like there modern spin on the retro stuff. Looks great on the eye.
  14. They really did put all their eggs in one basket. Totally unacceptable at a business level as the repercussions are there for all to see. We seem to forget the RL players are entitled to a wage as per contract. Really feel for the players as I have recently lost my job and with the way the world is now it's a hard life. Hope it gets sorted soon and hope none of the affected players miss mortgage payments etc.
  15. Great post, totally agree. I also think with the number of countries competing in the next WC being fewer, that the Nations that miss out play a 'developing nations' type cup, but each country can only have 4 players MAX of heritage in their squad and this should be very strict. No rule bending. Italy,Greece,Serbia,Wales, Ireland,Scotland,Germany,Malta (EU) USA,Jamaica,Canada,Brazil (AM) Cook Islands and Lebanon. Great in theory but would never happen.
