I have some mates who follow The Tics & Saints and they enjoy seeing wigan rl lose. But i work with a couple who just follow The Tics and they despise the rugby league club with a passion. A lot of their ire used to be aimed at Maurice Lindsey, their faces would go redder than Alan Brazil’s if Maurice’s name was mentioned. I used to tell them to let it go and just forget about him. But thankfully they don’t seem to get annoyed about him as much nowadays….thank heavens.

I like looking at the player stats when they appear on the Betfred SL site, but it’s pretty basic. I don’t think there are any player stats for the challenge cup, but i don’t know why not. Some clubs don’t even like announcing their attendance for home games, so next it’ll be no more player stats, and then no FT result.

I can’t remember the last time he had a standout game for Saints. The previous coach turned him into a one dimensional battering ram. Bell has got some ball handling skills, and that is why id sooner have him at 13 than Knowles at this moment in time.

How did Dan Norman play on Friday. He’s a big lad, but i don’t think Wellens is impressed with him ?.

He was worse than Knowles for his discipline last season, and although he has been banned twice already this season i am hoping he has got more control over his red mist moments. He is also a far better player than Knowles.

That’s fantastic news for Saints fans. He seems to have settled in very well at the club now and is enjoying playing in the SL. He’s excellent in defence and attack.

What did happen to the fambly cat ?.

Is James Bentley’s contract up at the end of the season ?. If it is will Leeds offer him another deal or will he move on!!!!. Despite the Leeds defeat yesterday i still wouldn’t write them off making the top six. Talking of the top six play off system, did the then SL bigwigs say why they had moved from a top five to a top six. I preferred the old top five system.

Great player, it was his best match of the season for me so far.

As Saints made substitutions he kept looking up hoping he was the one going off. But for someone whom isn’t the fittest on the pitch he puts in a good stint and he did take a knock early on. Im saying that as someone who hasn’t been his biggest supporter. But he deserves a new one year deal though.

I apologise if this has been mentioned elsewhere but someone told me there was a bit of bother at the Cas game on Friday night. He said “there is a clip of it” on either Twitter or Facebook i can’t remember. I don’t bother with those cesspits so i don’t know if it is true or just fake news as Donald likes to say.

They did sell out, my daughter’s boyfriend tried to get a couple of tickets either standing or sitting but was told all the Saints tickets had been sold. He did leave it a bit late though.

Perhaps the police might’ve been against the Saints fans being in the away end which then would have required police in the ground. That would’ve then seen the price rocket. But i do think it’s sad that only two or three grounds(do Wakey have segregation ?) in the top tier now have stands in which opposition fans can mingle.

Saints had sold their allocation Leonard, but it’s a pity the club don’t sell tickets in the East Stand to home supporters. I wouldn’t have a problem standing with fans from another team. But i suppose the club might think “if we are going to let the public get blitzed on our ground with the ale we are serving them, we are better keeping them in separate stands”. There was quite a few people who had a bit too much to drink and those same people missed large parts of the game as they was at the bar or in the bogs having a wee or having a wee while smoking weed. I am not that keen standing at a game with pished up men & women, i had a couple of mates who was like that yesterday. I should’ve gone in my wet weather pants and my work boots because i would’ve been dryer. But i try and think of a positives when sloshed people are around me and that is Saints will be making a couple of pound from the sale of ale to these alcoholics…….sorry fans. The club must’ve made a tidy sum at the bars last night.

Wigan were giving Saints a run for their money till about the 30th minute then they just forgot the game plan and went rubbish. although French is a top class player. I thought Welsby & Roby were excellent, but it’s about time Roby did something as he has been poor for most of 2023. I’m still not impressed with the Saints kicking game in general play, but i am happy with the two pts.

If i walk it depending on how fast i walk it’s usually 35/40mins. If i am really lazy i can jump on a bus and that takes about 10/15mins. If we are getting pasted tomorrow i will definitely be leaving early as i have to walk home. But i think i’ll be going into town with my mates after the game listening to some drill, trance & Italian Speedcore.
