It sounded a good atmosphere last night from the Cowbell Army.

Oh dear, it’s going to be a Walking Day In Belfast for the Rhinoceroses. Saints will still be feeling the affects from the journey back from Australia. It’ll be interesting to see if Saints change their predictable dull tactics, id imagine they will. Perhaps they might go with whomever scores a try can go for the two points as well. Leeds by 14.

In the Wire concourse on the popular side they have placards up on the walls telling the history of wire and their legendary players. I had a great read on the history of the club before the match KO, they even had a player called Albert Fish who played for them. But i don’t think it was the Albert Fish from America….i hope. Anyway i digress because what i wanted to say is as i left the stadium some idiot (a Saints fan) was trying to pull off one of the placards on the Concourse. He was pushed away by a couple of stewards, but who and why would anyone want to do such a thing. You sure do get some weird aliens attending RL games.

As you said Fevrover not all football fans are hooligans. I reckon those that cause the bother are RL fans but they just cannot behave when they are with friends and have had two pints of alcohol.

It was an exciting game and the only time i don’t mind the golden point being used for cup & play off matches. The Wigan fans got the short straw getting drenched in the twenty first state of the art western terrace at headingley .

You won’t be surprised to know there was some spectators saying “they are not RL supporters they football fans”. I asked one gentleman why on earth would a football fan want to spend money at a RL match.

Saints fans throwing bottles at the Leigh players was shocking, the fools will probably never face any penalties but it would be good if they was caught on cctv. Leigh fans running onto the pitch, and some Saints fans too, these can easily be named and shamed and banned can’t they!!!!!.

Phew wee what a thrilling game and congratulations to Leigh they thoroughly deserved the win. It was all Saints in the first half, but with their predictable drop off pass and then plodding back down the middle and then finishing it off with a woeful dolly catch Leigh had no problems. In the second half Leigh stepped up another gear and we(saints) had no answer to it, we have no Plan B. Leigh’s pack was excellent in fact they was good all over the park. Lam is a great player too watch. Saints only used their centres & wingers as forwards to cart the ball up from the line. The Saints glory days are over, but it happens in all sports but we need a huge clear out, we have NO pace, Hopoate had a decent game but he is slow. As for Hurrell he is so unfit, every time he goes down i always think he’ll need a crane to get him back up, he must’ve been amazed Saints offered him a new deal. Dodd offers nothing, Lees is massively overrated with his 2nd or 3rd man in tackles. His clean breaks are as likely as hens teeth. As for Mata’utia he can bog off, what an idiot and a liability. I have seen enough of Wellens and his tactics & comments, if Saints got rid at the end of the season i would be happy with it. I just couldn’t understand him only using three of the four subs despite us suffering injuries during the game, what was that all about. Davies is a rubbish player but why put him on the bench!!!!!. Wellens is a S—- bootleg Woolf.

No matter what the weather it’s usually down the middle guff from Wellens, until the last few minutes and then we might throw it about. One thing about Saints is their lack of pace in the centres & wings, unless Ritson is back.

I think Leigh will win, because they’ll offer more than the Saints five drives and a kick. I would enjoy seeing a HKR/Leigh final as it would make a change from the usual sides winning it. But can’t see Rovers beating Wigan.

Saints have gone all HKR with their attendance from Thursday. I don’t think they will and i hope they don’t become a “what’s it got to do with you how many was on - club”. I must be just a blip. Perhaps they’re still in shock at Hurrell being a total bonehead on Thursday.

RayCee have you any idea what the average attendance was in the top tier in the U.K. from 1980 - 2022. Has the RL ever kept record of the average gates so far back!!!.

If Catalans had have lost that game right near the end it would have been so unfair. Saints are quite easy to mark if you can nullify their pack which Catalans did. Virtually everything from Saints is a Cunningham style down the middle with a drop off inside pass. You can’t beat pace which Johnstone showed, he is great to watch in full flow with no Saints player getting near him. Saints must be the slowest side in the league but they went into the season that way. We moved Bennison (a Fullback) onto the wing, and brought a lad in from Barrow on loan whom we didn’t know if he was ready or not. It feels as if Saints have done things on the cheap, Hurrell may be a fans favourite but i think he is average at best he is so unfit and ruddy clumsy. Saints need to start looking for another winger and a centre for 2024. I hope the signing of Whitley from Catalans isn’t going to be our make do centre for next year if we have injuries. PS The ex Wigan hooker had a cracking game for Catalans(is that who it was?). I think Catalans have a great chance of winning the GF this season and going on last night they deserve it.

I’m confident Saints will win but i am a bit worried about Hurrell out wide. I am looking forward to seeing Johnstone though because he is a cracking player. He can have a consolation try right at the end, Saints by 10pts, with all of those pts coming from forward passes and the officials turning a blind eye. As they always do for Saints . My young granddaughter is coming up tomorrow from Staffordshire, she loves her RL now especially that NRL stuff.

Would Matty Smith be interested in the job at Widnes ?.

If Sky didn’t bother with RL then i wouldn’t bother with Sky. Id miss the EFL games on Sky but id just have to watch the highlights on itv4. As for the PL i don’t really watch that and I’m not that arsed about the cricket.

What was the gate at Wakey, it looked a great atmosphere.

Did Jon Wells say there was just over 10,000 at HKR yesterday. Will the rovers board be fuming that an attendance has been announced, with usually everything being top secret . Heads must roll.
