Next season confirmed... Almost

playing for anything this season other than sweet sweet IMG points! - That is the IMG plan If its 1 league of 20 - you play for the Ch Trophy and sweet sweet IMG points! If its 1 league of 14 - you play for the Ch Trophy and sweet sweet IMG points! and Relegation Plus an awful league1 of 8/9 and you play for the L1 Trophy and sweet sweet IMG points! and Promotion and the hope of escaping L1 -
You have always stated IIRC - "that we have too many matches". L1 didn't so why have the champ clubs suggested a way that gives them more matches. Last year champ had 26 not counting SB. L1 had 18 As it looked for this year - champ had 26 not counting SB. L1 had 16 Now with this set up champ have 28 and L1 have 22 So with the likelihood that Champ teams should progress through 1895 rounds and inc CC matches champ teams are all going to end up with over 30 matches each not counting play offs. L1 will probably have 23 games each not counting play offs. apart from Cornwall who will have 17 It would have been better just for L1 to play each other 4 times 28 matches? - similar amount to champ. Maybe with a few pennies thrown towards L1 to assist travelling?

Not all Northern clubs The 2 West Cumbria clubs and Thunder [if they make it] travel a distance EVERY away game.
-
This isn't just for L1 clubs - champ teams get the same extra matches too. The original suggestion was to merge the leagues below SL Champ teams didn't want that or to travel to Cornwall - so we have ended up with this. L1 teams have no problem travelling to Cornwall - the expulsion of Cornwall is champs doing.

Trainers on the pitch
Derwent Parker replied to Wakefield Ram's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Correct, Griff is just disagreeing for the hell of it "as normal." Up our way K Senior seemed to be on the pitch more, when he retired than when he played . But he took it in good part when the crowd were shouting at him to get off He loved It - it needs stopped -
I agree it was Mr Creosotes fault - but I think "a much trimmed down version" is a huge understatement.

Brilliant

P.S You have shot down many suggestions without an alternate opinion. I have a plan for conferences which guaranteed derbies and less blow outs - you have seen it as you have commented on it. If your plan is not unlike Martyns then try pushing it. At this moment in time only top SL teams are happy, I think we should be positive towards the whole game not just SG

Please ignore the numbers its a joke Young lad asking "DAD" when you played how did you get promoted" Well Son" Hunslet reported a performance figure of 0.46. In 2021 Hunslet finished 6th in League 1 (32nd overall). They then lost in the elimination play off thus giving them 6th place (32nd) for 0.5556 points. In 2022 Hunslet finished 7th in League 1 (33rd overall) for 0.4444 points. In 2023 Hunslet finished 2nd in League 1 however they then lost in the preliminary final thus giving them 4th place (30th) for 0.7778 points. 0.5556 + 0.4444 + 0.7778 = 1.7778 points 1.7778/3 = 0.5926 or 0.59 points. Young lad asking "GRANDAD" when you played how did you get promoted" Well Son" We beat everybody at home and we went to their spots and beat every one of them? Stupid this aint it

I may have misread but i think you got the last paragraph wrong. You said "with new entrants only coming in when they could demonstrably add value (expanding the league to do so). IMG said that SL will extend whenever a team achieves an "A" automatically. Because ALL "A"s are guaranteed SL It wont happen but hypothetically if 11 teams go crazy this year and achieve "A"s then next year is an 18team SL
-
If they had scored 1 less try in 2023 they would have been making those trips anyway and would be wanting this plan like the rest in L1. Last year champ was that close at the bottom it was down to the last match. If we dont do this, then next year if they decide to balance the leagues it might be 4 coming down

I think we are getting crossed lines here. Maryport Pool money was spent on other things in Maryport because the council said there costs were too high so cancelled the pool. And they have started on the replacement projects. They have started on nothing on the stadium, only thing we know are statements which contradict each other and a cartoon drawing - that looks like it was just copied from SouthPark minor league soccer. I said if they cant manage to build a stadium that is adequate for both teams and meet all the needs of both teams then they should scrap it and split the STADIUM money between both team for projects on both grounds in Workington. Like they have at Maryport. What is the point in spending £6M on BP and giving us something that is not as good as what we already have at DP. Only newer

Maryport pool Money was just for Maryport pool - but its being used elsewhere. Nobody is happy - they wanted a pool. We wanted a full new stadium as originally promised - all they offering now is one small stand and leave the other 3 sides as they are. That is not good enough - So split the cash
