Defender1
Good Morning Everyone Please see below announcement regarding Peterlee Pumas It is with regret that the National Conference League Management Committee have to announce the withdrawal of Peterlee Pumas from the competition. The North East-based side’s departure brings their two-year stay to an end and means that Division Three will operate with 11 teams in 2015. “We will be looking to increase the number of teams in that division to a minimum of 12 from 2016,” said NCL Chairman Trevor Hunt. “We would also like to wish Peterlee Pumas every success for the future.” Kind Regards Alan Smith Competition Officer (Community) Operations DepartmentThe Rugby Football League
EdinburghExile
Shame, especially with the entry of another NE side. Coincidence?
bowes
I'd say yes as Gateshead is about 17 miles away but may be wrong. Can't see Peterlee returning to the North East League. Maybe they'll play in Yorkshire. Real shame though with their junior set up
BigCliff
Could make a strong Gateshead team if some of the Peterlee lads do want to continue playing NCL.
