Hanging Heaton Rugby League 70th Anniversary Season

Hi All,

i don't know if anyone is aware, but it is Hanging Heaton's 70th anniversary season later this year.

I wondered if anyone has any memories they could share, or supply information for a small publication we intend to produce, to mark the occasion.

We also have an evening with the ex Leeds Rhino's skipper, Kevin Sinfield next friday 21st April, at Hanging Heaton WMC.

Tickets are £15.00, and include a vocal support act, and a buffet supper. There will also be a charity auction.

I hope the rugby community can help with information.

I seem to remember playing against hanging Heaton about 35 years ago , it was a one off national touch or sevens competition. I only vaguely remember this but the final rounds was played at Elland road. Think it was a mixture of semi pro clubs and amateurs. Sure hanging Heaton got to final. Sorry to be vague but it a long time ago.

Do they till play on the school fields with the big slopes and the owner of Bulldog Sports in Leeds is an ex-Hanging Heaton player.
