I disagree. The uk, imho, elects the closest party to the right of centre position. It’s why the conservatives are comfortable being so far to the right. If Labour became more moderate (won’t happen for a while), the Conservatives would snap back to the centre-right like a rubber band. 

 

Its why Blair was popular. That and of course being the most stable government we’ve had in my lifetime.

A poll by ComRes for the Sunday Express found 47% of Brits backed a new party, up from 41% this time last year, while just 24% are actively opposed to such a move.
 
That's a lot of disillusioned folk.

Political parties that have disappeared up their own dogmatic chuffs, I'd say, who think they are the only ones with the solutions to every conceivable problem in society and who view any kind of compromise as betrayal.
