The King Of Leon
Come back to haunt us yet again today. On 39 mins with the score 12-10 and us being arguably the better team we give a silly pen away on half way piggyback them downfield and they score on the 6th tackle with 20 secs on the hooter, so so predictable. 2nd half no Grimmer , Niall Walker in the Bin, their half back Lewis Young running the show, our old winger Ogoro getting more passes than he ever did at Hunslet scoring a try and our forwards 2nd best against a very underated team. Please can we have Ashton in the 2nd row where his size and strength will be far more effective, thought Lewis Reed was badly missed today but fair credit to Newcastle they played well in the 2nd half and deserved the win, Young at stand off is a very good player . Back to the drawing board next week , would like Cowling back to centre if we could get him!
pudsey hawk
After two great victories in games we looked like losing I wondered if it was painting over the cracks. We make far too many unforced errors , discipline is poor and still don't spread the ball wide often enough. Every week we are swapping and changing the team, sometimes with players that aren't ours. Players have come and left already and all this adds up to a mess. Thunder looked well coached and up for it. Hunslet looked badly coached and unorganized. Something needs to change quick or my predicted 9th or 10th in this league will come to be.
hunslet ramone
Grimmer got injured near the end of the first half , seen him holding his arm. We need Lewis Reed back if he wasn't injured he should have been in the squad end of. Looks like Newcastle were told they just have to win this game and they did , with their tackling being exceptionally good all game , so let's give them some credit here. great ground is this one , shame it's not Thunder's , as noticed fixture board on the way in said Newcastle Falcons V London a rugby union game next week , no mention of anything to do with League. RogerT
I could see Cowling being with you as he isn't getting into the Batley team, he is a massive tackler. How's Chandler getting on with you. Cheers Roger(Batley fan).
