Some talent in show in this game, 3 future GB Internationals and numerous Amateur Internationals.

5 Sent Off apparently.

One of the better packs turned out by St Pats in the day.

David Hill is father to current Warrington prop Chris Hill. Conal Gallagher possibly the most gifted footballer in the whole side  and was sometimes played at centre  because of his size and pace - career cut short by illness and now a retired solicitor.

Egremont side had some gems in their team as well but no-one could live with those St Pats youth sides in that era. Not sure if 5 got sent off but the Cup ended up in the Silverwell.

The programme photo features Martin ' Chivers ' Sharrock as scrum half ( later to become a ref ) with hard man and GB Youth captain Paul Marsh ( uncle to Stefan Marsh ) lurking at loose forward.

St Pat's kit was sponsored by Transkabin one of Maurice Lindsay's companies...…..and I believe that game was a youth semi final against the old enemy from across the canal and great friends Ince Rose Bridge. The crowd on that day exceeded 3000 at Clarrington  Grove.
