Good one Latrell

Latrell Mitchell has lived every young footballer’s dream of buying his parents their dream home.

Mitchell celebrated his reported $1.8 million purchase of a country NSW estate this week with an Instagram post that showed his parents grinning from ear to ear out the front of a “sold” real estate sign at the front of their new property.

Just days after the 23-year-old starred in South Sydney’s clinical win over the Brisbane Broncos, Mitchell posted a photo captured in Taree on the NSW mid north coast celebrating the family’s special day with mum Patricia Goolagong and dad Matt Mitchell.

“Today I bought my parents their dream home,” Mitchell captioned a photo of his parents.

There`s an aerial shot of the property on the Daily Mail website. An epitome of rural opulence.

Taree shouldn`t be a million miles from where our mate The Rocket is located. Will his abode be in the same league? Might be bigger. We are moving up in the world.

BTW, I didn`t know Latrell was related to Evonne Goolagong.

It`s such a small world sometimes you just shake your head. The bloke who owns the property next to Latrell`s acquisition is an ex-real estate agent, I had literally spoken to him the day before the auction regarding a rezoning of the property next to ours to `industrial`, he had said to me Rocket there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, because the area being rezoned is a fair distance from your house, I was disappointed because i was hoping to screw something out of the developer before they got my approval. I asked him how things were over his way and he told me he was still running cattle on the property next door and though it was to be auctioned the next day he hoped that arrangement would stay in place, boy have I got news for him, I get a strong suspicion that there won`t be too many cattle being run on that property now, because they will get in the road of the motorbikes and gun-fire when Latrell has his mates up for a holiday.

I didn`t have the heart to ring him and tell him who his new neighbours were, I expect though if he doesn`t already know he will soon find out.
