Bert Street
Our former prop forward has died at the age of 74. He divided opinion at the time, but Frank Myler brought him in to stop our top young players being bullied. He certainly managed that. RIP Brian
tub
He came with a big reputation but was at the end of his career during the two season he played for us 81/82 and 82/83. He did a lot of the dirty and unseen work that was in the game back then but he did sometimes look comically slow when compared to the up and coming players from Gartland's famous colts side that were coming through at the time. Then again nearly all the forwards of the time looked slow when compared to the young rampaging back row of Goodway and Worrall and I'm sure he helped develop them into the world class talents they became....... thanks B Hogan and RIP.
eclecticsheep
He was a fearsome sight coming down the steps at Sheddings taking hits, offloading and staying on his feet, would you take him on face to face?....Neither would I, It was a pleasure to see him play. Old School hard man.
