Leeds strengthening their weaknesses

The signings of Shona Hoyle & Grace Field give the some real firepower up front and with Shannon Lacey possibly back from injury, they are looking stronger for next season.

Also good to see the Giants sign Amelia Brown & Bethan Oates to pro contracts.

Hoyle is a great signing. She looked a step above at the challenge cup, I'm surprised she's not been tapped by the NRLW

Perhaps she has - York Valkyrie had five players offered NRLW contracts. Only 19 yo Hollie Dodd took it up - currently the salary would be less than £20K, so it's unsurprising that players with established jobs/relationships/ families might think twice about "chasing the dream" at the moment. That will change ......
