I’ve made another list about the best wonderkids/youngsters in the rugby league world.

This time it’s 2004+ though and a lot better than my last list.

Also this list mainly based on how much potential I think a player has. Not just there current ability.

Te Kura just scored on debut for Brisbane, 6’9 and 130KG. He has some serious potential. Also Latu Fainu is debuting for the tigers this weekend.

I love your attention to detail in these posts and how widely these lists are assembled.

Tell me, how do you make judgements on ranking/ability - there can't be a huge amount of footage around for some of them, is is based on write ups, coaches talking them up etc or purely on some of the junior highlight reels?

I agree with @Dunbar, your attention to detail is remarkable. Just one query from me, though : I believe Neil Tchamambe was released by Leeds to go to Hull KR because they felt that the McCormack brothers, Jack Smith and Riley Lumb were all more promising threequarters and all the same age or younger. It will be interesting to see which (if any) of them make it to regular first graders.

I make the list on a mixture of everything really, write ups, performances, and how good someone is performing based on their age and competition.

I wouldn’t look into my actual individual rankings too much though, ranking players one by one on a list is never going to be accurate. But It’s a just fun way of mentioning some quality youngsters with potential.

I didn’t know Tchamambe was willingly released by Leeds, I just read that he is a very highly young outside back, who’s played for England academy and thought he was worth mentioning. 

Heard good things about the McCormack brothers too, they could definitely be on this list.

Both Jye Gray and Chevy Stewart debuting at fullback this week, would keep a close on both of them. Both very quick and talented.
