Four players charged by the RFL

Four players could be banned for the next three games, after all picking up Grade C charges.

Saints duo Luke Walsh and Luke Thompson are among the quartet, which also includes Leigh’s Jamie Acton and Featherstone’s John Davies.

Walsh, who has been linked with a move to Manly in League Express, has been accused of a dangerous throw in victory over Catalans, with Thompson charged for an alleged shoulder charge.

As for Acton, who has already served a seven-match suspension this season following two separate incidents in a game against Swinton, has been charged with ‘other contrary behaviour’.

Meanwhile, Rovers forward Davies has been accused of abusive language to a match official, which saw him sent to the sin-bin during their 62-16 defeat to Huddersfield.

All four players will have their case heard at Red Hall on Tuesday.
