Giants gain second win – and inflict Wolves second defeat

The competitive nature of Super League was emphasised tonight at the John Smith’s Stadium when bottom placed Huddersfield Giants defeated table-toppers Warrington Wolves 11-0.

In a tight game the Giants led 4-0 at half-time thanks to a try by Aaron Murphy after the game had been scoreless for 36 minutes.

Danny Brough couldn’t add the goal, but early in the second half he added a penalty and then a field-goal, before Giants centre Leroy Cudjoe completed the scoring with a try on 70 minutes.
