An alleged incident involving Australia international Greg Bird is under investigation after reports surfaced that the Gold Coast Titans star had been refused entry to a pub.
Nine News Australia reports that Bird had an altercation with security after being refused entry to an event of teammate Anthony Don’s, however, Bird has said the incident was not a physical altercation.
A statement from the Gold Coast Titans said: “The club is aware of an investigation currently underway by the NRL Integrity Unit regarding an alleged incident at a hotel in northern NSW last weekend.”
“At this stage those investigations are yet to be completed so the club is not in a position to comment further until the outcome has been determined.”
Bird has previously been fined by the Titans when he urinated near a police car.
