Halifax confirm signing of French international Kevin Larroyer

Halifax have announced the signing of French international Kevin Larroyer on a one-year deal.

The former Catalans and Hull KR forward becomes the latest impressive signing for Richard Marshall’s side next season, and joins a squad that are once again expected to be competing at the top end of the Championship table.

Larroyer spent last season with Leigh, scoring nine tries in 26 games, and Marshall said: “He’s been on our radar for a few weeks now. Obviously, we had to wait whilst he was still contracted at Leigh so we didn’t want to approach him whilst all that was going on but it got settled and we dove straight in.

“He was desperate to come. He knew we had something good here and He’s got some experience and hopefully, he can help bring the other lads on”

“Massive thanks to Lawrence Turner at Investing for Tomorrow who has completely financed the deal which is outstanding for us. We’re really happy that our local sponsors are really backing us this year with Fax 1 supporters club helping also.”

“I’m delighted and can’t wait to get started,” Larroyer said.

“It’s a real quality club I’m joining here and I know it’s going to be tough to get a spot in the team but I’m happy and looking forward to the challenge.”
