Castleford Tigers duo Oliver Holmes and Will Maher will both miss pre-season after undergoing surgery on injuries.
Holmes came into camp carrying a shoulder injury that had plagued him towards the back end of the season. Scans revealed the injury was worse than first hoped and so surgery was required.
Meanwhile, Maher reported for training and ruptured a pectoral muscle in the first session which also required surgery.
Holmes will be out for three to four months while Maher will be injured for up to three months.
