Hock fined over social media activity

The RFL have confirmed that they have fined Leigh Centurions forward Gareth Hock over the use of unacceptable language on social media.

They released the following statement on their website detailing the ins and outs of the fine:

“Gareth Hock has been fined £1,000 for posting inappropriate material, including the use of unacceptable language, on the social media network Twitter.

“Mr Hock was found to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.1(b) conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game; Rule c2.3 unacceptable behaviour; the RFL Respect Policy; and the RFL Social Media Policy.

“The fine relates to comments made on Twitter in February 2015.”
