Hull FC hit by forward crisis

Hull FC have been plunged into crisis in the front row, as they were hit with a double whammy of injury and suspension.

Prop Josh Bowden is expected to be out of action for a month, as he has picked up an ankle injury that will keep him out of action up until Easter. He left the field during their defeat to Castleford on Sunday, and has been sent for scans on the troublesome knock.

And things were made worse when Mickey Paea has been hit with a two-game ban and a £300 fine from the RFL following a disciplinary hearing last night.

After being without Chris Green for a sustained period, and being without Iafeta Paleaaesina and Garreth Carvell for the defeat at Castleford, this latest double blow plunges Hull into somewhat of a crisis in terms of their forwards. Carvell has been plagued with an ankle injury for the past few weeks, and remains a doubt for this Sunday’s clash at home to Widnes. However, Paleaaesina could return to give coach Lee Radford a major boost.
