Hull FC new recruit Michaels dual-registered with Doncaster

New Hull FC recruit Steve Michaels has been sent to Championship club Doncaster on dual-registration, as he bids to step up his recovery from knee issues.

Michaels is yet to play for the Black and Whites since arriving from Gold Coast Titans in the off-season, and has been playing catch-up after a knee operation and then a subsequent infection in the knee, too.

And FC boss Radford has taken the opportunity to send him to Doncaster for some much needed minutes ahead of Super League XX, with Michaels expected to feature against Leeds this weekend.

“Steve has been back in full training since the end of last week,” said Radford.

“He’s looking forward to getting some minutes under his belt at the weekend and I’m looking forward to seeing how he goes. You only have to look at his career so far to see what he can bring to us.

“Once he’s up and running he brings great competition for our outside backs, which we need.”
