Hull KR boss hoping for double injury boost this week

Hull KR head coach Craig Sandercock is hoping for a massive boost on the injury front this week, as he hopes to welcome back two key forwards ahead of their massive clash against table-topping St Helens on Sunday.

The Robins are still chasing the pack when it comes to the top eight, after slipping to a narrow defeat against Huddersfield Giants last time out. But Sandercock could be boosted by the returns of Kevin Larroyer and Neville Costigan – with the KR boss hoping to name them in his 19-man squad on Friday.

“Neville and Kevin are close to returning. They are two of our better players and it would be nice to have one of them available,” Sandercock said.

“If it’s not this week, it will be the week after and it would be a good boost to have them both available.

“The more players we have available the better it is, especially when they are our better players. It’s pleasing that Neville and Kevin aren’t too far away. I’m hoping to name at least one of them in my 19 man squad.”
